HANFORD – U.S. Congressman David G. Valadao released the following statement after winning the primary for California’s Twenty First Congressional District:
“I am incredibly humbled and honored to have received such immense support from California’s Twenty First District. I ran for Congress to make sure our Central Valley had a voice in Washington and after tonight, I know we have made progress.
We have implemented a Farm Bill, giving California farmers the certainty they needed to expand, grow, and create jobs. We’ve reduced our nation’s spending, eliminated fraud and waste in programs like Medicare and Social Security, and made reforms to ensure every student receives the best education possible. Today, we are closer than ever before to sending my drought legislation to the President’s desk to become law.
However, there is still much work to be done. We’ve got to turn this country around, making sure the United States remains a nation where each individual, regardless of their background, can achieve their own American Dream. Together, we will win in November.”
Congressman David G. Valadao represents the 21st Congressional District, which includes Kings County and portions of Fresno, Tulare, and Kern Counties.
