HANFORD – The Board of Directors of the Kings County Farm Bureau voted to endorse David G. Valadao for California’s Twenty First Congressional District, acknowledging Congressman Valadao’s passionate focus on agriculture issues as well as his farming roots.
“Congressman Valadao has served the interests of Kings County farmers well in the past six years,” said Kevin Robertson, chairman of the Kings County Farm Bureau’s political action committee. “His invaluable understanding of important issues facing farmers and ranchers and his commitment to representing us at the legislative level made him our clear choice.”
“As a lifelong dairy farmer, I am humbled to have the support of farmers across the Central Valley,” Congressman David G. Valadao said. “California’s farmers and ranchers are responsible for feeding the world. Few realize what is required to accomplish that incredible task.” He continued, “I will continue to fight to ensure Valley farmers have the resources and support they need to feed the world.”
The endorsement of the Kings County Farm Bureau joins that of the Kern County Farm Bureau, solidifying Congressman Valadao as the choice of farmers and ranchers in the Central Valley for Congress. In the past 18 months, Congressman Valadao has worked to pass the Western Water and American Food Security Act, which would provide critical relief and water security to Valley farmers and communities during this historic drought.
The Kings County Farm Bureau is a non-profit advocacy organization that represents approximately 800 members of the agricultural community.
Congressman David G. Valadao represents the 21st Congressional District, which includes Kings County and portions of Fresno, Tulare, and Kern Counties.
