U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Local Chambers Endorse David Valadao

BAKERSFIELD – Today, the United States Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Fresno Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce announced their support for David G. Valadao’s re-election campaign in California’s 21st Congressional District.

The announcement follows recent endorsements from the National Education Association (NEA), the California Teachers Association (CTA), the Kern Law Enforcement Association, the Kern County Prosecutors Association, the Kern County Farm Bureau, as well as the Kings County Farm Bureau. During his time in office, Congressman Valadao has fought to bring water to the Valley, to reform our broken immigration system, and on other critical issues impacting businesses across the Central Valley.

“This district, one of the hardest hit by the recession, deserves a representative that understands the business community and is willing to work with both sides of the aisle to get things done,” said Jennings Imel, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Western Region Executive Director. He continued, “Congressman Valadao has proven that he is that guy. He has already shown that he is someone who can be counted on to fight for farmers and the business community in Central California.”

“Throughout his time in Congress, David has been a strong advocate for the needs of our valley,” said Fresno Chamber CEO Nathan Ahle. “He works together with members from both sides of the aisle to achieve results that will help his district. As business owner himself, he understands the need for regulatory relief and for finding a solution to our water crisis. We are proud to endorse him once again.”

“As a small business owner myself, I am proud to receive support from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as well as the Greater Bakersfield and Fresno Chambers of Commerce.” He continued, “I have experienced how regulatory burdens negatively impact small businesses and hurt our economy. I will continue to advocate for policy that grows business and strengthens our national and local economies.”

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.

Congressman David G. Valadao represents the 21st Congressional District, which includes Kings County and portions of Fresno, Tulare, and Kern Counties.
